About me
Danette Thornton is currently in her eleventh year as an Education Specialist in the area of Federal and State Programs at Region 4 Education Service Center. Danette works in the Department of Accountability, Research, and Compliance Supports. Areas of responsibilities include Parent & Family Engagement, Paraprofessionals, all things ESSA, as well as State Compensatory Education. Prior to joining Region 4, Danette was a Federal Programs Director, a Campus Level Administrator, and a classroom teacher. Her educational experience spans for more than 30 years.
